Job Description:
What’s the Role? As a Business Analyst, you will work directly with engineers and business stakeholders to gather requirements, document process, create technical specifications, and coordinate user acceptance testing. Responsibilities/ Duties • Market Analysis: Business analysts gather and analyze data on market trends and competitors, identifying growth areas and potential challenges. • Stakeholder Engagement: They conduct interviews and workshops to engage stakeholders and collect business requirements comprehending their unique needs and challenges. • Requirement Documentation: Business analysts document and articulate comprehensive business requirements, use cases, and user stories, setting the direction for the product. • Financial Projections: Embarking on the product’s lifecycle, they lead in crafting financial models and projections, critically evaluating the potential success of novel products and services. • Collaboration with Development Teams: Working closely with development teams helps to ensure that the product aligns with business objectives and customer needs. • Marketing Strategies: BAs contribute to crafting effective marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for the product to ensure its success after launch. • Product Launch and Support: Post-launch, business analyst supports the product, monitoring its performance and addressing any issues. Criteria for the Role! • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role Previous experience using Atlassian (Jira and Confluence) suite of tools, Sabre, Comarch, Postman, Charles, and AppDynamics. • Be available to the Scrum Team to answer questions about the Products by attending Scrum Ceremonies • Actively engage product owner or business SME to translate solution needs into actionable user stories • Partner with product owners/SMEs to define & refine acceptance criteria • Experience as an Business Analyst and has contributed to software development lifecycles. • Effective communication & documentation skills, particularly for software projects and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization • Analytical and basic project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements • Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle Competency • Knowledge of Business Analysis Process • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills • Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc. • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous. • Ability to quickly understand complex, detailed processes & summarize them.
