What’s the Role? As a Head of Product Technology on the Collective Engineering team, you will have responsibility for the Continuous Improvement of multiple Engineers of various skill and experience levels by employing a Growth Mindset and coaching principles. You’ll work closely with CTO, Engineering Managers and Engineers to nurture our engineering processes, culture, and team. You will be a mentor to all members of the team, but especially to your direct reports, with whom you will practice true servant leadership and empathetic management. Responsibilities/ Duties • Provide mentoring and coaching to 8 to 12 Engineers of varying skill and experience levels, as their primary source for performance assessment and improvement. • Provide mentoring and coaching to Lead Engineers in managing their direct reports as their primary source for performance assessment and improvement. • Receive mentoring and coaching from CTO and leadership on how to improve your own performance and that of your direct reports. • Contribute to hiring, performance reviews and improvement, and career management and retention of direct reports. • Ensure that the team is following our engineering practices including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, scalability, and security. • Contribute to the development of processes on the team by directing and facilitating communication with stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Able to provide technical guidance to teams • Track record of partnering cross-functionally with product, design, and other stakeholders to build roadmaps and deliver quantifiable impact.
